Hey everybody, Producer Daniel Here,
I wanted to take this time in between episodes to express my gratitude towards Jay and Sarah. Creating a podcast is not as simple as it may sound, even though I have been involved in some “simply produced” podcasts in the past…no names…
They have very busy schedules and while this podcast is a project that they enjoy helping to create and develop, it is not the only dish on their plate, so from the bottom of my disorganized but well meaning heart, I truly thank you both.
Currently they are both off doing what they do when an episode isn’t due, and hopefully that is doing their best to relax, however I know Jay is busy with UTD, and of course Azul Unlimited is Sarah’s pride and joy.
Sarah recently posted a video about leaving Baja but I wasn’t exactly sure where she was headed. I do know that she taught a rescue class last weekend so her schedule is non-stop diving, recording, editing, teaching repeat. Say Hi to Abby for me…
Jay was in Florida doing some cave diving and I believe it was an additional cave certification for UTD, however I’m not sure which one. Honestly I’ve lost track. He’s shared some footage on the facebook group so you can see what he posted there..
We have an increasing amount of traffic through the podcast as well as the Youtube channel and I know that Sarah’s Azul Unlimited audience has decided to see what else she was getting into so I want to thank them as well. We hope you like what you hear and the current format and balance is a direct result of Jay and Sarah hashing out what it is they want to sound like and what they want to speak about.
We are about to head into the summer months and the majority of the scuba diving community, if it hasn’t already, is chomping at the bit to get into the water. I know that the folks around here are wishing that Lake Travis actually had water, but we made do with what we have…
Wherever you decide to go scuba diving, please stay safe and remember to dive within your limits. We lose a number of divers every year because they want to conduct a dive they haven’t trained for and think that the last 5 years of not diving is something they can ignore.
Plan your dive and dive your plan. Stay within your limits and listen to that voice in your head.
If you want to see what else Jay has going on, you can follow him on Instagram at jaygardnerreal
And of course, Sarah is at www.azulunlimited.com and the same on YouTube.
Thanks to everyone that has participated in one way or another to help develop this podcast and we’ll see you next week.
