We know that for any scuba shop to be successful, whether it's an agency labeled store or you buddy's garage down the road, more than 5 tools are going to be needed. In this episode however, the guys highlight what tools they absolutely want/need for all other tools to be considered "worthy."
We always recommend that a certified technician work on your most sensitive gear, but setting up your garage or 'Suba Cave' in a way that allows you to service your own gear (when appropriate) can really open up your eyes to what it takes to maintain scuba equipment, not to mention helping to keep your gear in an organized fashion. Becoming a certified technician for your own gear is certainly a win-win. You can also then invite dive buddy's to bring their same brand gear over which helps you to stay fresh and maybe even make a little side cash.
You might be surprised to hear what the guys have to say about which 5 pieces of equipment they would like to have in their shop, or you're a long-time scuba gearhead and recognize which pieces make everything that much easier.
